Being flanked by such panoramic settings the beach house obviously tries to maximize on the views that it can offer and the large floor-to-ceiling glass windows on the top floor try and offer precisely that. Each room flows into another which gives the feeling of spaciousness as the home tries to maximize on the available area.
This stunning sub penthouse occupies the western end of the ninth floor of the exclusive Air Apartment complex on Greenhill Road Adelaide. The wrap around terrace affords breathtaking views across the north west south and central districts of the city.
The animal and bird figures and motifs also form part of the rooms as even the kitchen seems to follow a similar pattern. The arrangement of the rooms in certain angles puts forward a messed up look bringing in some snazzy charm.
All of the apartment’s architectural materials have been sensitively selected to add a contemporary feel to the apartment both contrasting and complementing the historic frontage of the historic building beneath. The main structure is clad in a lightweight silver and white Alucobond skin; limestone and Calcutta marble stonework and lime washed timber floorboards and decking complete the elegant design.
The Dalene Cabin opens up towards the south to offer plenty of natural ventilation and sunshine while it uses dark firpannels on the outside and oak on the inside to ensure that the aesthetics of the home are just about perfect.
With an interesting architecture like the one displayed by the Shield House the residence will surely attract attention from passers-by. Designed by Boulder-based Studio H:T and located in Denver Colorado the modern home spreads over 3000 square feet. Its imposing shell was adorned with a curved wall protecting the inhabitant’s privacy and constructing an asymmetric design that breaks the monotony of the volumetric structure.
With the structure of the home itself occupying all the area of the plot available for construction the designers went ahead and incorporated a vertical garden that allows the residents of the home to grow some green in the limited space.
